Therefore, through our main imprints of children’s and young adult literature, we seek to connect these lessons with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting an approach that fosters personal and collective growth.

Loqueleo´s 10th anniversary
In 2025, we celebrated loqueleo’s 10th anniversary, consolidating it as one of the main publishing projects for children’s and youth literature in Latin America. Throughout the year, we promoted a range of initiatives to mark the occasion, such as participating in book fairs and literary events, and organizing activities with authors.

In the digital field, our reading ecosystem—which includes loqueleo Digital for all countries, leiomundo in Brazil, and Kindilector in Colombia— continued to grow and expand its catalog, offering a solid, up-to-date, and diverse digital selection. The ecosystem includes reading comprehension activities aligned with international standards such as PISA and PIRLS. Our digital libraries are available as apps on the major platforms (Android and iOS), enabling easy access to all resources both online and offline.
In 2025, our reading ecosystem was used by +1 million students and 50,000 teachers.
The Children’s and Youth Literature area reaffirms its commitment to sustainability, particularly in relation to topics linked to gender equality, quality education. and the promotion of peace and justice. This guiding rationale remains at the core of our initiatives, ensuring that our content and projects actively contribute to positive social impact.

In 2025, Richmond consolidated its language-learning ecosystem across Latin America, combining digital solutions, international assessment, and collaboration spaces for the educational community.
Richmond Solution remained one of the company’s most important resources. In 2025, Richmond renewed the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) seal of alignment for the 2025-2027 period, incorporating Richmond Studio into the evaluated system for the first time. This international recognition endorses the solution’s good practices in digital pedagogy, inclusion, ethical use of data, and learning-centered design.
Richmond Solution was used by +1 million students and +2,500 schools across13 countries.
In English-language teaching, Richmond Studio stands out as a key milestone in 2025. Richmond Studio, a new-generation digital environment developed in collaboration with Avallain, serves as the exclusive platform for Richmond Solution (K12) and Richmond Pro (Higher Education). Its main features include:
- Teacher AI Companion, which supports teachers in lesson planning and assessment through artificial intelligence.
- Speaking Lab, an oral expression laboratory that provides immediate feedback and adaptive learning resources for students by adjusting content to each student’s level and progress to enable more personalized learning trajectories.
In Higher Education, Richmond strengthened its commitment to students’ professional development through Richmond Pro, an ecosystem built on three pillars —learning, assessment and employability. This model enables students to improve their English proficiency and obtain certifications for universities and employers through ETS® TOEIC® and the British Council’s EnglishScore.

Social Commitment
In 2025, the Fundación Santillana consolidated its strategic role in shaping the future of education in Latin America.
Among its most significant milestones was its participation in major educational forums, such as the Latin American Education Forum in Buenos Aires, as well as its strong commitment to alliances with organizations that support education, including UNESCO and the OEI.
Another key milestone is Fundación Santillana’s participation in the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30), held in Belém (PA). The foundation played an active role in global discussions on education, bringing critical issues —such as school resilience to climate change and the role of education for sustainability in public policies — onto the international agenda.
This participation reinforced the foundation’s efforts to connect knowledge, education, and sustainability, strengthening its position as a regional reference in the dialogue on how climate change affects learning.

In addition, within the framework of the Sustainable Schools Awards, the second edition of the Sustainability and Education Forum was held in Brazil, bringing together international specialists to reflect on the role of schools in building inclusive and sustainable learning environments.
In the editorial field, Fundación Santillana continued to expand its catalog with the publication of four new titles, including Educación para la era de la inteligencia artificial (Education for the Era of Artificial Intelligence).
In addition, in 2025 Fundación Santillana launched two new free courses aimed at teachers and school leadership teams, one focused on STEM and another on AI. At the same time, training programs on Sustainability, Inclusive Education and Media Education continued to be delivered. In total, 2,942 people participated.
New episodes of the Rutas Educativas (Educational Routes) podcast were also released, fostering reflection on current educational topics with the help of specialists from different Latin American countries.

Finally, Fundación Santillana continued to strengthen alliances to improve education. This includes its agreement with UNESCO in Latin America and the Caribbean, its partnership with the Vice Presidency of Colombia to promote educational quality in the Pacific region, and the renewal of the Vivalectura Prize in Argentina, in collaboration with the OEI.
